Our goal as Structural Yoga Therapists is to assist you in developing optimal alignment, strength and flexibility that will enable you to assume asana as a gateway to clarity, calmness and comfort with the benefits of structural, physiological and psychological wellness. Asana, also known as Hatha Yoga or the physical postures in yoga, is a form of moving meditation and awareness – stillness in motion - which brings balance and harmony of the body, breath and mind in the moment. Developing the ability to naturally and instinctively identify, assess and modify combinations of asana movements and their applications to one’s particular constitution and condition is an objective which requires pacing one’s progress. Once comfort and steadiness in asana is achieved, the breath becomes calm and steady while thoughts begin to slow down. From this point, we guide you into a deeper practice specifically tailored for you as you identify your goals.
